The Isley Brothers

First formed in the early '50s, the Isley Brothers have been a musical institution, enjoying one of the longest, most influential, and most diverse careers in popular music.  Their prolific career has explored the intersection of gospel, R&B, rock, soul, funk and disco.  Over the course of nearly a half century of performing, the group's distinguished history spanned two generations of Isley siblings, having been a family-based group since their inception.  The Isley Brothers originated with four gospel-singing brothers: Ronald, O’Kelly, Rudolph and Vernon.  This rich history continues on today with Ronald and Ernie, keeping the Isley Brothers music alive.  From their first hit, “Shout,” to a long list of #1 R&B hits like “Fight the Power,” “The Pride,” “Take Me to the Next Phase” and “I Wanna Be With You,” the Isley Brothers are true R&B royalty.  In 1992, the Isley Brothers were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
